Active Damping Devices (ADDs) are active dynamic auxiliary systems subsequently fixed to machines, plants or components sensitive to vibrations, thus reducing their vibration level. Compared to passive auxiliary systems, e.g. the prevalent passive vibration absorbers, they are much lighter and result in definitely more vibration reduction.   

By means of intelligent control mechanism combined with clever, simple and therefore robust construction totally new possibilities of vibration reduction arise from applying active damping via ADDs.
