Building Acoustics

Building acoustics deals with the evaluation of constructions in the context of planning, building and restoration phases:

  • Protection against airborne and impact noise transmission
  • Protection against outdoor noise and insulation against noise emission
  • Protection against noise, generated by technical installations such as heating, water supply, air conditioning, lifts etc.

With new buildings the noise insulation is guaranteed by means of respective design on the basis of relevant valid regulations as well as according to special requirements the contractor may ask.

Room Acoustics

Room acoustics concentrate on the evaluation of interior design for rooms with special requirements regarding acoustics such as:

  • Conference rooms
  • Lecture halls
  • Sports centers and multi-purpose halls
  • Theatres and concert halls
  • Churches

For that purpose the room acoustic requirements are already defined in the planning phase in cooperation with the contractor and are then realized in the interior design by means of respective data and measures.

Technical Noise Prevention

Technical noise prevention deals with the design of technical equipments such as ventilation systems and power plants in the view of the requirements regarding sound radiation.

Noise prevention at working places deals with the diminution of noise by means of measures taken at the source of the noise, e.g. screenings and by means of interior design constructions for sound absorption.

Our engineers furnish an expertise to all kinds of acoustic problems and carry out necessary measurements in the course of licensing of new equipment resp. the protocol and evaluation of the actual state of equipment.
