Noise Insulation

Noise insulation especially deals with questions of noise propagation outdoors and aims at the compliance with limiting values for public protection. Special standards and legal statutes have to be observed for the various kinds of noise sources such as

  • traffic noise on roads, rails, waterways and air
  • industrial and commercial installations, including wind turbines
  • sports and leisure center

In addition to the need of protection of the objects open to noise the above standards and statutes appropriately consider the feasibility of noise protection measures for the noisemaker.

Our engineers are working on all kinds of questions regarding protection against noise immission in the structural planning, with licensing procedures for above mentioned installations. A special focus is set on expert opinions for noise prediction with IMMI, our in-house software for noise mapping and noise prediction.

In a bigger scale, we deal with questions of measures for the diminution of noise according to § 47a BImSchG.

Wölfel has been officially acknowledged as measuring institution according to § 26,28 BImSchG for the determination of emissions and immissions caused by noise.
