Air Pollution Mapping

Using our IMMI software, Wölfel offers a series of services in air-pollution assessment. The following air-dispersion models are used:

  • basic Gaussian plume model
  • advanced Gaussian plume model (compliant with VDI 3782-1) and Canyon-Plume-Box model
  • Lagrangian model (compliant with both VDI 3945-3 and the German TA-Luft "Technical Instructions Air") with wind-field pre-processor
  • Austrian Gaussian plume model (compliant with ÖNORM M 9440) and Stern-Giebel near-field model

These models can be used to determine pollution concentrations of all typical air-pollutants taking into account meteorological conditions.

Air-dispersion modelling applications

Applications:

  • regulatory modelling
  • permitting
  • EU air-pollution directive and daughter directives - regional air-pollution maps
  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
  • smal-scale (few sources, small area) to large-scale (many sources or networks of sources, large area)
