Experimental Modal Analysis
Experimental modal analysis (EMA) presents a sophisticated analysis method in the area of structural dynamical measuring technology. It is aimed at the determination of the decisive vibration properties of machines and components, i. e.
- natural frequencies,
- mode shapes and
- modal damping ratios.
Especially when dealing with structures showing non-linear properties we possess special methodological know-how for conducting EMAs.
Measuring and Testing
For this purpose there is comprehensive measuring and testing equipment at our disposal:
- 40-channel data aquisition system with sample- and hold-function,
- corresponding equipment of acceleration sensors,
- laser-scanning vibrometer,
- various impulse hammers and shakers for excitation purposes,
- 3D-digitizer for the geometric measuring of structural and measuring points,
- vibration-free foundation for the setting of the test specimens,
- devices for the "free-free" suspension of the test specimens.

- Laser Scanning Vibrometer
