Simulation-Based Development

If you suspect vibration related problems with new developments and advancements of production and converting machines, we will attend to this problem and make it controllable and solvable in the construction phase already. For this we apply our competence in simulation and dynamics to your development process:

  • modelling of machines based on your 3D-CAD data as a finite-element model
  • analysis of eigenfrequencies and mode shapes
  • prognosis of vibration responses (forces, deformations, tensions) due to operating loads and special loads
  • design review with your developers
  • construction optimizing and structure optimizing subject to vibration related aspects

Vibration Reduction at Existing Machines

In case of existing machines which are already running there are usually much less possibilities to reduce unwanted vibrations. Therefore it is necessary to quickly find and realize the best possible solution without pricy trial-and-error processes.

It is the same procedure as explained above: First your machine is displayed (CAD based) as a finite-element model, which is then specifically used for testing  and optimizing solutions via virtual prototyping. That way we are able to elaborate concepts for

  • stiffening and detuning,
  • placement of dampers or
  • passive vibration absorbers.

Thus the efficiency of various concepts can be compared with the expected effort for the realization: Thereby a sound and professionally assured basis of decision-making is on hand.
