Workplace Noise Module

The Workplace Noise Module of IMMI is your ideal choice to study and analyse the noise distribution inside industrial halls and large workplace using sound decay curves (SDC) according to VDI 3760.

The module enables you to use IMMI to both calculate and assess planned noise control measures in halls and at workplaces.

There are 2 calculation methods implemented according to VDI 3760:

1. Statistic module

General Features:

  • input of square rooms, diffusers and extent of absorption for walls, ceilings and floors
  • determination of the characteristics needed to assess the acoustics quality of work rooms on the basis of sound decay curves
  • results are displayed in form of charts, graphs, texts and image files (including numerous functions to editing and formatting) as well as export to Excel
  • the room is displayed by means of a 3D-Viewer
  • data base with more than 500 absorbing materials

2. Reflection model based on mirror sources (order depth 4)

General Features:

  • input of optional stereometry and position as well as optional geometry of rooms' periphery
  • consideration of actual geometry and position of diffusers
  • application-specific functions to produce industrial halls and machines as sources of noise in large rooms
  • function "baffled ceiling" is an important construction help to model sound control measures in detail
  • consideration of multiple orders of reflection while calculating the distribution of noise levels inside the room - Assessment of noise control measures in industrial halls
  • determination of sound power levels by means of the enveloping surface method of EN ISO 3744. The sound power levels can be directly imported into the IMMI project
  • individual position of SAK - logarithmical, gradual, constant classification according to BGI797
  • results are displayed in form of charts, graphs, texts and image files (including numerous functions to editing and formatting) as well as export to Excel
  • the room is displayed by means of a 3D-Viewer
  • documentation of data input in form of charts
  • sound decay curves (SDC) based on both statistical Theory (Sabine) and image sound spources including sound ray tracing
