Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA)

Detailled Seat Structure Model

Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) is a sophisticated analysis method in the field of structural dynamic measuring technology. It is aimed at the determination of the relevant vibration properties of car seats, namely

  • natural frequencies,
  • natural modes and
  • modal damping ratios.

Due to the non-linear properties of seats, special process know-how is required in this case. We are experts in the modal analysis of seat structures (i.e. without cushion) and completely cushioned seats.

A detailed description of the available testing technology can be found in our brochure "Seating comfort".
