“Whether piping systems, control cabinets or machinery – industrial plants and components must remain safe and operational even under seismic and extraordinary loads. With more than 50 years of experience, deep engineering expertise and a strong command of international codes and standards, we provide the basis for structurally resilient, available and standards-compliant systems – worldwide and across all areas of plant engineering: from the safe decommissioning of nuclear facilities to the assessment of impact loads, such as the airplane crash load case, and the earthquake-resistant design of hydrogen-related infrastructure.”

CASE STUDY
Condition Monitoring of a Forging Press
_____________
Significantly increased machine vibrations can have massive negative consequences: they impair performance, jeopardize delivery capability, increase costs and energy consumption, and can lead to permanent damage to the machine and its foundation. Intelligent data processing using a condition monitoring system (CMS) makes it possible to detect and remedy emerging problems at an early stage.
In this case study, we present the individual steps for designing and implementing a customized, retrofitted CMS using a practical example for a 2000-ton forging press.
