Technical conditions in rail transport do not usually change abruptly, but rather follow defined development patterns. Wear, material fatigue, and functional deviations occur gradually and often have no direct operational impact in the early stages.
If these changes are systematically recorded and evaluated as part of a condition monitoring system (CMS), maintenance measures can be prepared in a targeted manner before malfunctions or failures occur. Condition-based maintenance thus enables planned interventions based on technical developments instead of reactive measures after the event.
Integration into existing systems
Analysis & evaluation
_____________
CMS.Rail can be integrated into existing IT and operations management systems. The evaluation is performed independently of the monitoring or maintenance environment in use.

RESEARCH & EDUCATION
FOR THE FUTURE OF RAILWAY TECHNOLOGY
_____________
“As part of RailCampus OWL, we aim to contribute to ensuring safe, efficient and environmentally friendly railway operations through our expertise in monitoring and structural dynamics. One example of this is enableATO – a project to develop automated technologies for rail operations in rural areas.“ (Manuel Eckstein, Head of Simulation + Predictive Maintenance)

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND INPMLEMENTATION OF AI CONCEPTS

The assessment of technical conditions requires sound engineering expertise and a deep understanding of the underlying systems. Measurement data alone does not provide reliable information unless physical relationships, operating conditions, and structural interactions are correctly classified.
Wölfel Engineering combines many years of experience in vibration analysis, structural dynamics, and condition assessment with data-based methods and software-supported analyses. This interdisciplinary approach forms the basis for comprehensible condition assessments and the continuous development of monitoring solutions in rail transport.
