Earthquakes are unpredictable. In the event of an earthquake, there is a risk of direct and indirect damage to industrial plants, conventional and nuclear power plants and other building structures located in the affected regions. Infrastructures such as bridges, containers for the storage of hazardous substances or dams are also at risk.
In cooperation with the technology of the Swiss manufacturer SYSCOM, Wölfel offers you seismic instrumentation for the continuous measurement of the effects of vibrations and for reporting in the event of limit values being exceeded. By automatically comparing the measured vibration with the stored design values (e.g. response spectrum), it is possible to check the building or system section. This enables you as the operator to automatically switch off or secure critical processes or plant components. On the basis of the recorded measurement data, a mathematical re-evaluation and thus a conclusion on the stability of the affected buildings is possible.
